Select Lite Ash Telecaster

As part of Fender's 2016 Magnificent 7 series, the September and sixth release was a Limited Edition Fender Select Lite Ash Telecaster®. Designed from the get-go for comfort and playability, as well as stunning style, this Limited Edition Telecaster is a blinged out version of the classic design.

Featuring a hand selected lightweight ash body, each instrument weighs 7 lbs. or less, making it ideal for long playing sessions. All gold hardware, a tortoiseshell pickguard and White Blonde lacquer finish make this Telecaster a treat for the eyes as well as the ears. Includes a ”Special Edition" ingot inlaid in the rear of the headstock, pearl button tuning machines, a comfortable body contour, two Fender American Vintage '58 pickups, a modern neck profile and 9.5”-14" compound fingerboard radius and a string-through-body three-saddle American Vintage bridge round out the specs.

Ash is a long time Fender classic for electric instrument bodies. Notably resonant and sweet sounding, it's characterized by clearly chiming highs, well-defined midrange and strong low end. The lightweight ash body is guaranteed to weigh seven pounds or less. The body is finished in Nitrocellulose lacquer, one of the great original-era Fender electric guitar finishes, which is only used today on select instruments. Thin, porous and delicate, it's a premium ﬁnish prized for sonic qualities that let body woods breathe with their true tonal character and for an appearance that ages and wears in a distinctive way appealing to many players.

This Telecaster incorporates a stylishly classic bridge with a rock-solid string-through-body design and three brass “barrel” saddles for an extra touch of original-era authenticity. Featuring specially voiced pickups meticulously researched and crafted to reproduce the authentic design, voice and performance of specific pickups from 1958. Their superior sound and style is one of the defining hallmarks of this Limited Edition guitar.
