Jerry Donahue Telecaster

This is a Jerry Donahue Signature Double-Bound Telecaster.

It is a Crafted in Japan model which plays nicely with its thick 'V' neck profile and has a multitude of sound capabilities with its 5-way switch selector.

The wiring switch is the original set up for the model which allows the following tonal options:
Position 1: Bridge Pickup
Position 2: Bridge Pickup + Neck Pickup, Out of Phase
Position 3: Bridge Pickup + Neck Pickup, In Parallel
Position 4: Neck Pickup, run through the tone control
Position 5: Neck Pickup, bypassing the tone control

The JD Telecaster were also available in Black, Sapphire Blue and Crimson Red.

The Jerry Donahue "JD" Telecaster was a cheaper version of the Fender Custom Shop's Jerry Donahue Telecaster model. The Custom Shop version had Jerry Donahue's full signature on the head stock, whereas the JD version just had his initials on the headstock.

As well as the Telecaster Models, Jerry Donahue also had a Stratocaster model for a short period.

Sadly in 2016 Jerry Donahue suffered a massive stroke which may mean he will never play the guitar again.
