Apart from the Stratocasters and Telecasters, I have a couple of other Fender guitars in my collection. They represent Fender's attempt to challenge the stranglehold of Gibson and Gretsch on the semi hollow market. The Fender Coranado was released in the late 60's and the Fender Starcaster was a product of the mid seventies. Neither model lasted very long in the Fender Catalogue, but both were reissued in the 2010s. The Jazzmaster was first issued in in 1958 as a more expensive offering to the Stratocaster. Although aimed at Jazz guiatrists it quickly found favour with Surf Rock guitarists before falling out of favour in the 1970s. Today it has a cult following along with the Jaguar. The guitar in my collection is a 2011 Squier version of the Jazzmaster.
