In the lead up to the 2012 London Summer Olympics, Coca Cola sponsored the Olympic Torch relay around the UK. It culminated in a concert held at Hyde Park in London. As promotional items Coca Cola and Fender teamed up to produce 25 Special Edition Telecasters featuring a special edition Coca Cola Torch relay finish. The finish was completed by Martin Sims and his team at Sims Custom Limited.

On the bill at the Hyde park Concert and opening proceedings were a five piece band from Essex, Morning parade. The guitarist in the band, Chad Thomas was asked by the Coca Cola rep to play one of the Telecasters on stage. He agreed on the condition he could keep the guitar. The final song of their set Headlights featured Chad playing the guitar. Sadly I am yet to find a photo from the concert of Chad playing the guitar.

The base model was an Arctic White Mexican made Standard Telecaster. The guitar features a 2011 Telecaster 60th Anniversary neckplate.
