The Blue Flower Telecaster first emerged in the late sixties. Initailly the Blue Floral design was only available on the Telecaster. Would you believe that the design was originally a wallpaper design!!!!
It was issued at the same time as Fender issued the Pink Paisley Telecaster. They gave a model to James Burton who was Elvis' guitarist at the time. My guitar was purchased from a gentlemen in Aylesbury via ebay. Made of basswood, the neck and fretboard are made form maple. The pickgued is clear plexiglass with a blue tint around the neckmpickup hole so that it matcheds the rest of the guitars edging but also covers the neck pickup rout and truss rod access cutout. Below is a review of the Blue Flower Telecaster and its companion Pink Paisley Telecaster from May 2002.
