The Fender magazine was launched in 2012 and the 1st collectors edition hit the streets in the UK in July 2012, The second edition hit the streets in mid 2013.
To get your copy you had to register on the Fender company website and reserve a copy at your local dealer. the idea being to get people into the shops to get their copy and also to check out the guitars etc availablke in store.
The inaugural issue has 90 pages and includes articles on the 50th Anniversary of the Fender jaguar guitar, the EC series of amplifiers, the Kurt Cobaim Mustang, Elvis Presley Kingman and Johnny Marr Jaguar amongst other.
Issue 2 had 92 pages and featureed articles on Jimi hendrix, the Fender Custon Shop, the fender Custon Shop's Eric Clapton 'Brownie' Stratocaster, Fender Mustangs, the '57 Custom Series Bandmaster and George Benson tribute amps.,
Fender released a pdf 'taster' download for people to see what the magazine would looklike.
