Deluxe Series Thinline

In March 2015 Fender exhibited at The Guitar Show in Birmingham. On display was a Candy Apple Red Thinline Telecaster with "Deluxe Series" on the headstock.

The Mexican made guitar has a 2014 year prefix in the serial number. On contacting Fender UK I was informed that the guitar was a marketing sample for a series that was to be released later that year. I was later informed that the series had been cancelled and was able to purchase the guitar I had seen at the Birmingham show. Around 200 guitars were produced and Fender decided to release them and they were introduced as an FSR. The series was released with a slightly different spec sheet in 2016.

The guitar is in good condition with just one crack in the finish on the under side pf the guitars as noted in the photos. I have a letter from Matt Davey at Fender UK regarding the guitar and its provenance which will included in the sale.

The guitar comes with a Fender gig bag.
