The Blacktop series of guitars was introduced by Fender in 2010.
All models feature at least one humbucking Alnico Hot Vintage pickup. The Blacktop Strat is available in HH and HSS configurations. In 2015 the Blacktops were merged into the Standard Series of guitars. My guitar has a silver finish with a maple fingerboard and was supplied by my friends at Sound Affects Music in Ormskirk. In 2016 the Blacktop series was merged into the Mexican made Standard Series. In 2018 The Standard Series became the Player Series. |
