Introduced in January 2010 and Made in America.
The American Special Stratocaster sports an Alder body finished with gloss urethane. It is fitted with a 9.5” radius maple neck, jumbo frets, three formidable Texas Special single coil pickups and Greasebucket Tone Circuit.. The pickups deliver loads of midrange punch whilst still offering spanky treble and tight bass thanks to the over wound Alnico V magnets. The 70’s style jumbo headstock is a neat addition and helps make this guitar stand out visually. The Greasebucket tone circuit rolls off highs without adding bass to the signal. My guitar is finished in Candy Apple Red. In 2018 the American Special series was replaced by the American Performer series. |
