The Fender American Original ‘60s Telecaster Thinline pays homage to its beloved namesake and accurately captures its beautiful warmth and classic, full-bodied twang. Revered by many an old-school country player and new-wave indie-fop rocker, the Telecaster Thinline has rightfully cemented its spot in the Telecaster lineup and warrants its place in the hallowed halls of Fender classics. The American Original ‘60s Telecaster Thinline is a fantastic iteration of the original, generating an authentic vintage tone whilst pushing playability into modern territory.
Fans of the original will be truly impressed by the accuracy of this model - every curve, line and contour of this guitar's body and neck are spot-on. The body is crafted from Ash for a warm, resonant sound and its lightweight semi-hollow design makes for comfortable extended periods of playing. Additional comfort is added by a “Medium C"-shaped Maple neck profile that provides a period-correct, vintage feel, and the 9.5”-radius fingerboard is ever-so-slightly flatter than the original’s 7.25” radius for even more comfort and playability. The Maple fingerboard features vintage-tall frets for easier note-bending without fretting out. All of the great guitars in the American Original line-up feature specially-voiced pickups that reproduce the authentic sound and performance of the model down to a distinct year of production - with amazing accuracy. These Tim Shaw designed ‘60s Telecaster Thinline pickups supply an authentic late-sixties Telecaster tone. This awesome guitar also features vintage-style hardware, F logo tuners, and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish that lets the tonewood breathe naturally, resulting in as pure a resonant tone as is possible - and it also ages and wears in a distinctively unique way. This guitar also comes with a vintage-style hardshell case so you can rest assured it is well-protected. |
