The 69 Flame Thinline Telecaster was first produced in 2003. The Mexican made guitar featured a white finish over a mahoigany body with a flame pattern finished on the front and back of the guitars and also on the matching headstock.
The 2006 version sported a slightly different flame pattern that unlike the 2003 version wrapped around the bottom of the guitar. The flames also wrapped around the F hole on the 2006 version rather than cutting across it on the 2003 version. This is one of the rarer FSR's these days and it took me a while to locate one. When I did I found it in Nashville, Tennessee at Blues Vintage Guitars. Both runs in 2003 and 2006 were limited to 250 guitars. The 2003 version below has the F hole cutting across the mahogany flames, where as on the later 2006 version (right) the flames wrap around the F hole. The also wrap around the bottom edge of the guitar unlike the 2003 version below, where the flames on the front and the back of the guitar are seperate.
